Vallejo Police Department officials will try to prevent alcohol-related crashes this Thursday with extra officers on saturation patrols for Cinco de Mayo, it was announced.
Some 343 people were killed in motor vehicle crashes over the Cinco de Mayo holiday weekend in 2014 and of those, 34 percent (116) died in drunk-driving crashes, officials said.
