For more than 20 years, the "TJ" in TJ's Designs stood for Thelma and Jimmy, but now, and for the past several months, it stands for Tabatha and Juan Gomez, the married couple who bought the Vallejo embroidery/screen printing-type business from the now retired former owners.
The couple -- who met at 16 when they both worked at a local McDonald's restaurant while attending different Vallejo high schools -- operates the business out of their garage, just like the former owners did, they said.
