Vacaville's air and space museum may soon own a plane flown by General Doolittle with the passage of a bill by Assemblymembers Bill Dodd (D-Napa) and Jim Frazier (D-Oakley), Dodd's office announced.
The bill, AB 724, which grants a sales tax exemption to Vacaville's Jimmy Doolittle Center, recently passed the legislature with bipartisan support, giving the air and space museum the ability to purchase a fully restored 1932 Shell Lockheed Vega flown by Doolittle himself, according to the announcement.
