Employees of Macy's department store at Fairfield's Solano Town Center learned Thursday that their employment future is in limbo, after company officials announced plans to close 100 of its stores, a worker there said.

Macy's officials announced Thursday that the store is 'shifting its focus to its e-commerce and digital strategy as it tries to become 'America's preferred omnichannel shopping destination.
