Slightly more than 5,000 acres in Napa County are part of 20 California properties that may be permanently set aside for agriculture thanks to a first-of-its kind state program that invests in farmland conservation to benefit the climate, Gov. Jerry Brown's Department of Conservation announced Tuesday.
