AMERICAN CANYON >> The first day of the 2016-17 school year at American Canyon High School started a little differently than usual, but seemed to go smoothly, with at least several returning students expressing happiness at being back.
Principal Damon Wright said the first two days of this school year began with a "We Are American Canyon" project, which breaks the student body up into small, grade-level teams, each of which was given a task to perform.
