American Canyon Councilwoman Joan Bennett lost her bid for a fifth term in the Nov. 8 election, according to final unofficial election results released by the Napa County Registrar of Voters Office.
Incumbent Kenneth Leary defeated Bennett by 102 votes, to win re-election, while attorney and business owner Mariam Aboudamous won the second open American Canyon City Council seat, starting out in first place and never losing her lead.
