Vallejo approaches its Independence Day fireworks display a little differently than some other cities do, and that's just how the guys behind the effort say they like it.
While many cities pay for their display, for the past half-dozen years, Vallejo's has been funded in a more Bernie Sanders-like, in a many-small-donations sort of way.
