AMERICAN CANYON >> The city of American Canyon earned a statewide award for its work addressing climate change, city officials announced.
The Institute of Local Government and the League of California Cities awarded American Canyon the Silver Beacon Award -- part of a program offered by the Statewide Energy Efficiency Collaborative, to provide support for and recognize California municipalities' efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, save energy, and adopt policies to promote sustainability.
