New program turns Napa student IDs into library cards

NAPA >> In a California first, and just in time for National Library Card Sign-up Month in September, a new partnership between Napa County Library and Napa Valley Unified School District means Napa's middle and high school students are already signed up, officials announced.

The One Card program allows middle and high school students to use their school-generated student ID as their public library card, with a ready-made account there to greet the student at the library building or online, officials said.
