Rep. Mike Thompson, (D-Saint Helena,) this week won a spot on the House Ways and Means Subcommittee on Health, which has jurisdiction over healthcare, health delivery systems, and health research, his office announced.
"With Republicans primed to gut health coverage for millions of Americans, it is more important than ever to stand up and speak out for those at risk of losing everything,"#xa0;Thompson said in a statement.
