More than 1,500 Forest Service positions are available in California for the 2017 field season, agency officials announced.
The Pacific Southwest Region of the USDA Forest Service will be advertising for these temporary positions throughout California's national forests starting Jan. 9.
Temporary positions are available in a variety of occupations including fire, trails, forestry, engineering, wildlife, recreation, fisheries, archeology and administrative support, officials said.
