Front and Center: The state of crime in the city of American Canyon

AMERICAN CANYON >> The good news is that injury car crashes are down in the city. The bad news is that auto thefts here are on the rise. And the big question is whether more lenient drug possession laws are contributing to a rise in mental health issues and property crimes.

So says the city's new police chief, Oscar Ortiz, who compiled and recently presented his department's 2017 annual report to the American Canyon City Council.
