Thompson petitions to force vote on background checks bill

On Tuesday Rep. Mike Thompson offered a resolution to force a vote on two gun control measures - the bipartisan Thompson-King Public Safety and Second Amendment Rights Protection Act, and the Background Checks Completion Act of 2017. This follows his petition on Monday to force a vote on the matter meant to reduce gun violence.
