AMERICAN CANYON >> The city took a step toward improved water independence on Tuesday when the City Council approved two measures - one related to a reliable water source and the other to recycled water.
Council members voted to pay $120,000 to throw in with the Sites Reservoir Project, which is hoped will create a permanent, stable source of water for the city.
