AMERICAN CANYON >> In a meeting starting hours earlier than usual, city officials and residents will go through a rare though not unprecedented process to select someone to fill an empty city council seat. The meeting starts at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at City Hall.
It's hoped that one of five applicants will be selected at the end of the process, to finish out the term Belia Ramos gave up to serve on the Napa County Board of Supervisors.
