Vallejo's Applebee's restaurant safe from reported closures

The Applebee's Grill & Bar restaurant in Vallejo is not among the more than 100 locations set to close for good, a company official said this week.

Last week, it was reported that DineEquity, the parent company of the Applebee's and IHOP brands, had announced it expects to close some 160 restaurants across the country.
