Local Red Cross recruiting for new volunteers to help with hurricane relief efforts

The local Red Cross seeks volunteers to help in the hurricane disaster areas, agency officials announced.

Thousands of experienced American Red Cross volunteers and employees are working around the clock to provide shelter and supplies to those already affected by Hurricane Harvey or evacuating ahead of Hurricane Irma, officials said.
