With winds expected to increase and change direction overnight, Vallejo Fire Department officials remained confident Wednesday that the fire breaks in place between the massive blazes to the north and the city of Vallejo will hold.
"High winds are expected to return (Wednesday) afternoon. Winds will be blowing from the northwest, but contingency lines and Highway 12 are expected to prevent the fire from threatening Vallejo residents," spokesman Kevin Brown said.
