Vallejo looks to avoid devastating North Bay fires

As long as the wind cooperates and the firebreaks hold - most of Solano County - including Vallejo, should escape being seriously impacted by the fire storm ravaging much of the surrounding area, a Vallejo Fire Department spokesman said Tuesday.

"I can't get you a first-person account because everyone we sent out there is still out there," department spokesman Kevin Brown said.
