Crime mostly down in Vallejo, Benicia, American Canyon in 2017

While California's devastating wildfires, in both Northern and Southern California, were the biggest news for local fire departments, there were also developments in law enforcement in Vallejo, Benicia and American Canyon in 2017.

Though accurate statistics for the year won't be available until several weeks after the first of the new year, major crimes in Vallejo are shaping up to be continuing a moderate downward trajectory, Police Chief Andrew Bidou said.
