Ken Sarkis of Vallejo says there's just something about the sound of an industrial sewing machine that soothes his soul.
The California native said he's been around that sound all his life. He now uses such a machine to create leather goods in the basement of his historic Vallejo home.
"I love the sound of a big sewing machine," he said.
