BENICIA > > The Umbrella of Hope Rescue will be doing its part to "Empty The Shelters" this weekend and get new homes for adoptable pets.
The organization will set up its mobile adoption unit outside of Pups N' Purrz on First Street in Benicia from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday.
The "Empty The Shelters" day is being sponsored by the Bissell Pet Foundation, which has pledged to pay adoption fees at more than 20 shelters throughout the state, including Umbrella of Hope.
