Barry Callebaut, the international chocolate maker with its U.S. operation based in American Canyon, has joined cosmetics giant L'Or#xe9;al to become the newest members of an initiative for responsibly produced palm oil, the Palm Oil Innovation Group (POIG) announced Tuesday.
These companies join others in the group that have committed to stepping up efforts to drive "the much-needed transformation of the palm oil sector," according to the announcement.
