With the National Weather Service announcing record temperatures across Northern California this week, AAA reminds motorists to prepare their cars - and themselves - for extreme heat.

Temperatures were expected to remain above 100 degrees in many cities in the area, with the National Weather Service issuing a heat advisory for the Bay Area.
