AMERICAN CANYON >> A free event aimed at acquainting locals with Islam and the Middle East is planned for 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, June 16 at the American Canyon High School cafeteria, and organizers are working to spread the word.
"Join us to learn about Middle Eastern culture and the Islamic faith, which is such an integral part of that culture," says a flyer being distributed by the American Canyon Arts Foundation, which is producing the event.
