A bill by state Sen. Bill Dodd (D-Napa) that seeks to teach students how to tell the difference between fake and real news passed the Senate this week, Dodd's office announced.
Legislation to introduce media literacy education into school curriculums "aims to combat fake news and ensure students have the tools to succeed in the digital age," according to the announcement.
