Local business owner K. Patrice Williams was selected to be a part of the country's first-ever U.S. Department of Transportation's Every Place Counts Leadership Academy, her office announced.
Hosted by U.S. Transportation Secretary Anthony Foxx, the event will be held in Washington, D.C. later this week.
