Solano exception to race disparities among California counties, study finds

In most of the Bay Area, a rising tide does not lift all quality-of-life boats, a new study found. The exception, the study's authors said, is Solano County.

The first of its kind initiative, called Race Counts, measures racial disparities in California's 58 counties across key issues and found that if you're black here, you are substantially more likely to be poor, be in prison and to die young.
