At least some of the people who volunteer at the Vallejo Together Support Services Center, which celebrates its second anniversary Thursday, insist they get more out of the work than those they're there to help.
And no one is more surprised by this as they are.
"I had thought of this city's homeless problem as not necessarily my problem, and as a result of volunteering, I now realize that this is truly more than I thought.
