Looking for a way to make an impact in your community for generations? The Solano County Literacy Program is looking for Adult Literacy Volunteer tutors, which is one way to make such a difference, organizers said.
"Literacy is vital for a healthy and thriving community," they said, adding that more than 60,000 Solano County adults are functionally illiterate, meaning that their reading and writing skills are inadequate to manage their daily living and employment tasks beyond a basic level.
