Legislation by Senator Bill Dodd aimed at bolstering funds for Napa County's farm worker housing centers was signed into law by Governor Jerry Brown this week, Dodd's office announced.
Authored by Senator Dodd (D-Napa) and coauthored by Assemblymember Cecilia Aguiar-Curry (D-Winters), the new law allows grape growers to increase their self-assessment fee to help bolster funds for farm worker housing, the announcement notes.
