For all its positive attributes, one thing that has been in short supply in American Canyon is affordable senior housing. A solution to that problem is set to break ground next week.
The groundbreaking for the Valley View Senior Homes project, set for Thursday in an event open to the public, "presents a special opportunity to build a senior community in American Canyon that offers a high level of amenities, partnered with on-site social services for older adults with modest financial means," city officials said in a press release.
