Incumbent City Councilmember Joan Bennett lost her seat on the American Canyon City Council to newcomer, attorney Mariam J. Aboudamous, 26.4 percent to 24.9 percent, according to the most recent Napa County Registrar of Voters information.
Aboudamous unofficially has the most votes, at 1,626, followed by incumbent Kenneth Leary's 1,547.
