The proverbial fat lady has not yet sung and the city council race here is not yet over, with just 14 votes separating the second- and third-place finishers in the American Canyon City Council race, Napa County Registrar of Voters John Tuteur said Wednesday.
A seat on the council seemed assured Wednesday for newcomer, attorney Mariam Aboudamous, 29, who has unofficially gotten the most votes, so the race now appears to be between incumbents Kenneth Leary, 65, and Joan Bennett, 77, who are in second and third place respectively as of Wednesday.
