Battalion Chief Steve Brassfield was tapped by Napa City Manager Mike Parness to replace Mike Randolph as Napa Fire Department chief, when he retires at the end of the year, it was announced.
He will step into his new role on Jan. 1.
Randolph's retirement on Dec. 31 after nearly 28 years of service was announced in September.
