Guts and language barrier prevents Vallejo store robbery

A man left a Vallejo convenience store Tuesday night with nothing but his own hand-written note and the Vallejo Police Department after him, after a failed robbery attempt, Vallejo Police Department Lt. Herman Robinson said.

There were two clerks on duty at the 7-Eleven at 2800 Georgia St. when a black man, about 24 to 26 years old, approximately 5-foot-6 and about 170 pounds came into the store, Robinson said.
