The magnitude 4.4 earthquake that shook the Bay Area early Thursday rattled some nerves in and around Vallejo, though some folks snoozed right through it.
The temblor struck at about 2:39 a.m., some two miles from Berkeley, according to the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), which reported fielding more than 34,000 calls about it from the public.
