A floating restaurant created from The Sherman, unlikely in Vallejo

Although a recent city of Vallejo newsletter announced an old ferryboat was preparing to become a floating restaurant here, Vallejo is not the owners' first choice, their project manager said Monday.

The newsletter said the three-story, 144-foot steam ferry, The Sherman, was brought to the Vallejo Municipal Marina last month after spending three years in Stockton, which is true, Bob Thorpe said.
